Glass is a fantastic medium to work with. A moving fluid transparent material that you can take away from the heat and cool down to leave it in whatever shape you desire and the thrill of the process makes it all the more exhilarating.

I like the variety and flexibility in my work and prefer to make a number of different objects in a day rather than mass produce.

There are a wide range of shapes, colours and finishes.

The Balance between making glass that people know and enjoy combined with the challenge of creating and introducing new work.

My attention is held by glass, each piece tells a story.

I also enjoy the challenge of working to a design brief and we do a lot of corporate pieces and commissions working closely with the client.

Whether starting from scratch or working to a rigid design, the aim is to bring to life an idea using the exciting medium of glass.

A lot of the qualities of glass that I like were discovered when I was at college and they remain with me to this day.

My interest lies in texture, light and form. Each piece is free blown in 24% lead glass and once cooled is hand finished in the cold shop. They are cut polished and engraved. Each process adding another texture and dimension.

Inspiration comes from working with molten glass together with shapes, colours and moods of the natural world.

Each piece is totally unique.
